FOOD INDUSTRY WEIGHS IN THE FRENCH INDUSTRY VALUE ADDED

At the end of May, the website La Fabrique published a computer graphics showing the part of each field in the French industry value added. With no surprise, the food industry actors Emsens is daily working with, weigh the most, representing nearly 18.6% of the total value added. A reality which shows the dynamism and the future of this field in full expansion.

Metallurgy represents 10,3%,  machines and equipment commisioning and repairing 9,8%, chimical industry 8,3% and food industry represents 18,6% of the value added of French industry. Food is one of the leading activity in the French industry.

Another interesting figure coming out of this study is the part of the industrial products in the total of the French exportations which reaches 91,3%. It shows the dynamism and importance of this field in France, including the activity linked with the food industry.
